During our September market trip, we visited Brugge Belgium, and several of our suppliers in Eastern France. While in Brugge, we established a relationship with Belartex, a distributor of Belgian lace, and expanded our offering of Artessuto Belgian tapestries. We also purchased a portion of the inventory of the Kant Jewel, a major retailer of Belgian Lace tablecloths. We will be adding photos and descriptions to our website in the next few weeks. The selection includes unique designs in white and cream colors and various shapes and sizes. Watch our site or call or email for additional information.
While visiting the facilities of Cristel (cookware), Niderviller (dishware), Garnier-Thiebaut and Beauville (linens) and Imagerie d’ Epinal (lithographs) in the Alsace- Lorraine and Franche Comte regions, we became aware of a rennaissance in these traditional companies, which have roots dating to the earliest days of the industrial revolution. They have all invested heavily in state-of-the-art designs and manufacturing, while retaining their traditional heritage. We’ll have more to say about them in future e-newsnotes, and in our e- magazine. We were very impressed with their style and quality. We’re pleased to bring them to you!
