Easy Care fabrics are traditionally Teflon or Acrylic coated fabrics…effective, but a bit shiny and stiff and limited in sizes. Great for kitchen and patio, but not quite right for fine dining.
Garnier Thiebaut has developed a cotton fiber spun with a proprietary chemical which prevents all types of spills…wine, cola, ketchup, soy sauce…from penetrating the fabric. Spills are simply blotted up with a paper towel or sponge. Washing and ironing are not normally required, however may be done without affecting the repellent properties. And, all Garnier Thiebaut damasks use a double twisted fiber, which provides a heavier more durable fabric.
