European Traditions in Linens and Housewares

Our discoveries along the byways of France and Beyond

Traditional French Lithographs from The Imagerie of Epinal, which was founded in 1796. Initially, colorful prints were produced using hand carved wood blocks for illustrated stories, cartoons, and political propaganda. One of the early characters, now symbolic of the Imagerie, is “Le Chat Botte”, or as we know him “Puss in Boots”. The Imagerie is now famous throughout Europe for producing whimsical traditional prints as well as newly commissioned modern lithographs.

See the Lithographs In Stock listing for prints currently available.  Other prints may be seen on the l’imagerie website and ordered by special request on our contact-us page.
